Vertical Grain Fir Closet

Hayden Lake, IdahoClosets

A walk-in closet with the presence of a custom wardrobe room. Vertical grain fir frames glass-front doors around three walls, keeping clothing in view while giving each hanging section a defined place. Warm interior lighting picks out the wood grain and brightens the storage beneath the vaulted ceiling. Along the back wall, paired drawers sit below the shorter hanging sections, while taller side cabinets make room for longer garments. The cabinetry stays above the floor, leaving the center of the room open and the high window unobstructed. Dark pulls add a quiet contrast to the fir, tying the doors and drawer banks together.

Project Highlights

  • Glass-Front Wardrobes

Framed glass doors keep the wardrobe visible while giving each hanging section a clean, enclosed front.

  • Warm Interior Lighting

Light along the top of the cabinets illuminates clothing and brings out the fir grain.

  • Hanging & Drawer Storage

Shorter hanging sections sit above paired drawers on the back wall, with taller bays along the sides.

  • Open Below, Airy Above

Raised cabinetry leaves the floor clear, while the vaulted ceiling and high window keep the room feeling open.

Glass & Grain

Fir-framed glass doors and matching drawers meet at the corner, with warm lighting inside each hanging bay.

Storage Around the Room

Tall hanging cabinets continue along the side wall, while drawers below the shorter bays organize folded clothing.
